How should a Y-harness fit on your dog?

From the front, a Y-harness looks like a Y, (hence the name). A Y-harness for your dog should sit so that it does not interfere with the dog's movements. The harness forms a Y at the front that continues down between the front legs of your dog and then up the sides. It is important that the harness is long enough under the chest so that these straps do not rub in the dog's armpits. When it comes to the Y in front, it is important that the harness does not go too far up in the dog's neck, but it should also not sit too far down so that it affects the movements.
