Mei and Dey are the names of my two Terriers. Sometimes when they are hysterical, as terriers can be, I jokingly call out; "MeiDey!" When I visited the Redwood forest in Northern California that burned down in the great fire of 2022, I was horrified by the powers of the climate but at the same time inspired by how the trunks of the redwood trees survived the fire and are now in the process of repairing themselves by sprouting new small branches from the big ones the tribes. I wanted to do even more to reduce the climate impact by encouraging the reuse of more things in the dog industry and the thoughts led me to project "MeiDey".
